Manages department and budgets within specified perimeters

Develops, monitors, and evaluates the organization’s accounting, financial, and third-party reimbursement systems

Directs the compilation of data and preparation of financial and operating reports

Directs and monitors the activities of all assigned functional areas

Prepares the annual operating and capital expense budgets and monthly financial and operating reports

Monitors operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements and accrediting body standards on a continuous basis

Initiates and ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures necessary to accomplish financial and operational goals and objectives

Represents the organization in its relationships with the community, major customers, suppliers, competitors, government agencies, and professional organizations

Consults legal counsel when necessary to determine appropriate methodology and action

Monitors activities of pertinent government agencies to ensure program integrity

Performs other related responsibilities as necessary

qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

Extensive financial management, accounting, and financial planning experience, including 5 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting

CPA or Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA)

Master’s Degree in Business or Hospital Administration
